Gettysburg is located 38 miles southwest of Harrisburg in Adams County, PA, USA. Although well known due to the monumental battle waged here and Lincoln's Gettysburg address it is also home to Gettysburg College founded 1832 and nearby Mount St Marys College. Many roads radiate from Gettsburg providing hub like access to Baltimore {52 miles}, Harrisburg {35 miles}, Carlisle {30 miles}, Frederick and Hagerstown {25 and 30 miles}, and Washington DC {90 miles}. There are many things to do in the Gettysburg area, including golfing, skiing, antiquing, outlet shopping, festivals, dining, Gettysburg, New Market and Antietam battlefield tours, and ghost walks.

Property Description

I welcome you to spend your vacation in this newly renovated home built in 1868. The house is situated two blocks from the town square and is within walking distance to dining,antiquing, and shopping. Double House is situated between the historical GAR building and a beautiful bed and breakfast, I have all you need to call home. Relax in the front parlor or enjoy your supper in the dining room where you will find enough seating for eight. Bake cookies in a newly appointed kitchen or just grab a cup of coffee and relax at the breakfast bar. Rest easy and have a good nights sleep in three bedrooms with new thick mattresses, fluffy pillows and cozy bedding. Two of the bedrooms have a queen size beds, another with a queen and a day bed, and the fourth is a snug nursery complete with crib, changing table and available blow up mattress. There is also office space with Internet access so, if you must work or just want to catch up on your email you can bring along your laptop.
