Our location just north of downtown Chicago puts you within walking distance of many cultural and natural attractions and a short commute from many more. We are located just five minutes from I-90/94 at the northern edge of Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood, famous for its combination of stately homes, thriving businesses, fine restaurants, fabulous entertainment, and access to some of America’s greatest hospitals and universities. The world-famous Steppenwolf Theatre is just a mile from our door. Other nearby attractions include Theatre Building Chicago and Briar Street Theatre. Movie theaters and live music at Kingston Mines and Chicago Blue are also in the neighborhood. Wrigley Field is just over a mile away, and DePaul University is even closer. Also close by is the Lincoln Park Zoo. Dining at Charlie Trotter’s is just a 15 minute stroll away. We have special arrangements for discounted, short-term memberships at the nearby Lincoln Park Fitness Center and Multiplex Club. Lake Michigan is also within walking distance. Property Description

China Doll Country Unit 3 features rich, dark colors, lush plants, and statuettes of exotic birds, packing a lot of warmth into this intimate space. We provide cable television and a stereo. Quality pans, flatware, and utensils are also provided in the newly renovated kitchen, which features a view of Chicago’s famous Hancock Tower. You’ll find an assortment of fresh breakfast foods, including eggs and bacon, as well as Continental staples such as milk, juices, cereals, muffins, and, of course, coffee and tea. You are given the option of 2 bedrooms or 1 bedroom, each containing a sturdy bed with soft covers and plush pillows, air-conditioned with a minimum of distractions. Two additional guests can be accommodated on the queen-size futon in the living room or queen-sized Aerobeds upon request. For those who like to stay productive on the road, we offer high-speed wireless internet with Skype (including FREE unlimited video calling), a computer with standard office software, combination printer/fax/copier/scanner, webcam, and an assortment of common office supplies. Color laser printing available at the main office (2/3 of a block away). At China Doll Country, small pleasures include viewing the patio from a cloth-covered, wood-frame chair on the deck, or enjoying an outdoor meal on the brick patio. Laundry facility in the basement, a free library of popular DVD, VHS, and CD titles, and various local guidebooks and menus to help you decide where to go when you venture into the city.
